Kathryn Burkell - Senior Trade Commissioner
Kathryn is originally from Vancouver, BC and arrived in Denver as Consul and Senior Trade Commissioner in August 2019, directly from a posting as STC and Head of Office in sunny Barcelona. She oversees Canadian commercial interests with her trade team in Denver, focusing on strengthening trade and economic ties and assisting Canadians businesses wanting to do more business in the five-state territory of Colorado, Kansas, Montana, Utah and Wyoming. Kathryn joined the Trade Commissioner Service in 1994 and has enjoyed assignments in Ottawa, Vancouver, Seattle, Panama, Barcelona and now Denver.
Each of the Trade Commissioners below focus on attracting foreign direct investment to Canada and stimulating bilateral trade. They will outline their portfolios and tell us what they do.
