After 20 years performing and celebrating with hundreds of thousands of fans, recording 5 Gold and 4 Platinum albums, your band goes on a hiatus – What’s a guy to do? 

Great Big Sea’s front man and lead vocalist Alan Doyle decided to write a “Best Seller” memoir “Where I Belong”, continue his impressive acting career, make a rocking new CD “So Let’s Go”, put a new band together and go on tour!

One of Canada’s most treasured musicians and storytellers, Alan is loved by Great Big Sea fans around the world who know him for his enthusiastic and gregarious personality on and off stage.   From his home in Petty Harbour, Newfoundland he recently spoke about his fans, “I always want people to have the greatest night of their life when the house lights go down.”  Alan now begins his big “So Let’s Go” North American tour with a 6 piece band that will take him to Denver’s Soiled Dove, February 25 to perform songs from the new CD plus Great Big Sea favorites.  As he was heading on the road he blogged out to his fans, 'Enjoy your last moments of not being completely rocked.’
