Ritch was born and raised in Winnipeg and spent many enjoyable summers at his family’s cottage in Gimli, Manitoba on Lake Winnipeg. After graduating from the University of Manitoba with a civil engineering degree, Ritch began his career with PCL Construction in Winnipeg in 1985 as a Project Engineer.
His career with PCL lead him to opportunities that took him to Toronto in 1989, where he met his wife Janet, who was working for another great Canadian company, Brookfield. From there they had stops in Mexico City in 1994; Minneapolis in 1996, where their daughter and son were born; Seattle in 2001; and finally Denver since 2007. Ritch currently works in PCL’s US Head Office as Director - US Strategic P3 Pursuits and his role includes identifying and pursuing Public-Private Partnership opportunities across the U.S., coordinating with PCL district offices to establish pursuit strategies and develop teams.
Ritch and Janet live in Lone Tree and try to spend as many weekends as they can at their cabin on Columbine Lake, CO. Their daughter Alex attends the University of California – Berkeley and son Charlie is at the University of Washington.
