Sandstone Ranch

3001 State Highway 119

Longmont, CO

11:30 AM - 2PM

Come join CCA for a Canada themed Tea on Saturday, July 20 at historic

Sandstone Ranch in Longmont!

Join others to celebrate Canada through Tea and delicious goodies in the historic Visitors & Learning Center at Sandstone Ranch. This historic property was first homesteaded in 1860 and the house and property are on State and National Historic Registers. Longmont also designated the house as a local landmark in 2000. It includes hands-on displays on environmental features of the area, as well as history of the Coffin family and other early Longmont history.

CCA is hosting this Tea with the expert guidance of Sandy Moore, who has hosted a number of themed Teas at her Carriage House in Longmont and has also organized outings to local Tea houses.

If you would like to contribute some sandwiches or (favorite Canadian) baked goods to accompany the Tea courses, please reach out to Christine Briscoe (cmbriscoe@gmail.com) and a sign up link will also be shared with those who register. Assistance will also be needed the day of to set up, break down and with serving. If you have any special Canadian table décor you’d like to bring the day of, please let Christine know.

A nature trail from the Visitors & Learning Center takes you past historical buildings, near the sandstone bluffs, and includes a scenic overlook. Numerous species of wildlife and birds are seen frequently on the property including white-tailed deer, wild turkeys, bald eagles and red-tailed hawks. Take a walk before or after the Tea ! It is also right on the St. Vrain Greenway Trail.

We look forward to seeing you there! Festive attire (including hats) encouraged!
